Summary

WildTangent operates both a successful cross-platform games service and a digital media advertising platform that connects brands with 175 million consumers monthly. As WildTangent Games, they give millions of people an easy and affordable way to play the games they love. As WildTangent Media, they help brands connect with a highly engaged audience by adding to their experiences rather than interrupting them.

The company was feeling good about its positioning on the games side. But they knew they had an opportunity to improve the way they tell the compelling, near-unbelievable story of their advertising business. They had amazing numbers and clients to drool over, they just needed to pull it all together and make it pop.

We began the mighty task ahead by breaking the WildTangent Media story down to its basest elements and rebuilding it into something passionate, lively, and impactful. With an exhaustive brand platform, we worked out the brand’s promise, attributes, audience, architecture, messaging, and even some executional elements, all under the positioning of helping brands "Reach the engaged." We’re firm believers in the idea that a brand needs to be a real thing that everyone in an organization can grasp and use. The tactical thoroughness of this document goes a long way to ensuring the WildTangent Media brand thrives.

For the visual expression of the brand, we drew on the connections to gaming and the digital world. We designed to keep the eye and mind moving, providing information in snippets, using dynamic type, and bringing energy to metrics with bold infographics. As a result, the WildTangent Media brand tells its solid B2B story with the vibrancy of a consumer brand.

We brought the new brand to life through a host of executions, including an internal brand book, collateral, a sizzle video, and not just one but two new websites, one for WildTangent Media and another for WildTangent corporate. Internal audiences have rallied strongly behind the new branding, and with this comprehensive, cohesive system in place, they’re armed with everything they need to prove the unbelievable results they deliver are real.
