Product Launch Video

Parallels Desktop

LiveAreaLabs created the highest-performing web videos in the history of Parallels.

Summary

Some people are Windows PC loyalists. Others are dedicated Mac-ophiles. And for people who want it all, there's Parallels Desktop for Mac—a virtualization software solution created by Parallels. As "the #1 way to run Windows on a Mac," it's the perfect option for people who want the latest for Windows and the greatest from Mac on a single computer.

LiveAreaLabs believes that social networking can help businesses tap into customers' needs and desires and ultimately create a more powerful message. So when Parallels asked us to create a series of videos to support the product's global launch, our first step was social media monitoring.

From there, we concepted and scripted the videos to focus on what our target audience cared about most—like how to choose virtualization software, and answering questions about how to switch from a PC to a Mac. Initially created to support sales and ecommerce in North America, localized versions of the videos ultimately did the same on a global scale in more than 40 countries.

And the results were astounding. They became popular on YouTube. They made their way into a review by Walt Mossberg, personal technology columnist for The Wall Street Journal Online. They were even aired on television during an interview with Mossberg on Fox Business News TV.

But nothing can beat the sheer numbers: these videos featured the highest conversion rate in the entire history of Parallels.

From Our Client

"I highly recommend LiveAreaLabs for high-impact video work. Parallels has worked with them on a number of projects, each being even more successful than the last. Their videos for the launch of Parallels Desktop for Mac drove the highest number of lead conversions for online content in Parallels history. And they were created on a very tight timeline and budget, but the service and the quality were top-notch."
