On the ground in more than 90 countries, World Vision helps almost 100 million people through emergency services, microloans, donations, gift catalog giving, and more. One of its most popular and meaningful services is connecting sponsors with children in need.
Through the years, World Vision has kept sponsors connected with their children through photographs, letters, and progress reports. The time had come, however, to bring all their donor interactions online in one centralized place. World Vision wanted a best-in-class portal experience for their sponsors. And that's where we came in.
Creating a highly transactional and emotionally engaging portal from scratch required all of our creative and technological skills. We worked closely with the World Vision marketing team to develop an interaction design and visual style that simultaneously met donor needs and organizational goals.
On the technology side, we recommended an enterprise-grade CMS with the power to integrate and scale as needed, and with the tools business users would need to easily manage the solution. We then partnered with the organization's IT team to build the site and tightly integrate core enterprise sign-on, data, and ecommerce services.
