Senior Application Developer

Job Description

The Senior Application Developer position offers an opportunity to play a key role in architecting and building the next generation of ecommerce, mobile, and social sites. This role works directly with our designers and clients to create cutting-edge experiences across a variety of platforms and technologies. The work is hands-on, engaging, team-oriented, and focused on consumer brands you know.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and build of web, ecommerce, and mobile applications
  • Participate with design team members in shaping user experiences through demonstrating latest technology tools, constraints, and interfaces
  • Provide technology estimates and high-quality work within estimates
  • Maintain knowledge of current web and mobile technologies and best practices
  • Create custom system-to-system interfaces through data
  • Assist clients in deployment process of web and mobile
  • Learn new languages and platforms quickly

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 3 years experience as an application, CMS, or mobile developer
  • Proven track record of architecting, building, and launching complex sites
  • Fluent in PHP, ASP.NET, and/or Java
  • Able to learn new languages, APIs, and platforms quickly
  • Strong ability to hand-code rich and complex HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery solo or in a team setting
  • Experience building AJAX or API driven sites
  • An attention to detail and ability to problem solve on the fly
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Available to work on-site in our Seattle office

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience configuring ecommerce sites or platforms
  • Experience with social APIs such as Facebook, Google, or Twitter
  • CMS experience with one or more CMS platforms such as Drupal, SharePoint, Joomla, or WordPress
  • Working knowledge of Agile, XP, or Scrum
  • iOS or Android app building experience
  • Working knowledge and desire to master HTML5 and emerging technologies
